Emergency Messaging – Are you READY??

Over the past 30 days, we’ve had many of our health department clients impacted by hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

From the USVI to Florida, Texas, Georgia and South Carolina, these storms have highlighted how important it is for your health department to provide up to date information to callers before, during and after the storm.

Two of the most basic marketing tools we employ for all of our clients are 1) our on-hold message service and 2) our call handling service.

While these two programs are extremely effective for marketing your health department’s services to the public they also serve a VERY powerful function during emergencies (like the recent hurricanes).

In the event of a public health emergency (of any type), our service transforms into an emergency message system instantly at no cost! As our clients know, we change their messages remotely from our corporate studios. This enables us to offer 24/7 emergency message updates on their telephone systems (even when they are closed and staff are at home like many in the paths of Harvey, Irma and Maria were).

Over the past 20 years, we have provided free emergency message updates during situations such as H1N1, Flu Vaccine Shortage, hurricanes, tornados, floods, wildfires, extreme heat, ice and snow storms, the BP oil spill and many more.

If your health department does not have an effective emergency message system for “in-bound” callers, you need to fix that problem ASAP, before the next crisis hits. If you would like us to help, just contact me for more information.
